People need people. No one can be completely and utterly self-sufficient. In one indirect way or another you’re going to need somebody.
Here’s a scenario:
You’re in boarding school down to your last cent and you don’t dare ask for more money from your mother because of so many reasons. This woman is literally doing the most for you and your private school education from thousands of kilometres away. You’re also a little angry at her because you feel abandoned.

(This sentence doesn’t make sense because there can only be one best thing as the word “best” implies so similarly there can only be one favourite thing but lemme get out of my head for a moment.)

I am deeply humbled by life.
First of all, I was under the impression that all I had to do was graduate (2nd in class!) and finish high school (Many Points?!) <—– (Yes these are humble brags but they’re only to prepare myself for what I have to write next which is the opposite of bragging) and I’d be set for life.

You’re my favorite thing to touch and smell.
Did you get home safe?
Me: My kids are going to grow up watching Sesame Street.
Him: Your kids are my kids.
My mouth was full of all the “I love you’s” I had caught in my throat that Fall, that now there was no stopping my tongue. Straddling him in the backseat of his car, I leaned closer to his ear and whispered in a vodka filled breath , “I love you”.
He doesn’t say anything so I say it again. “I love you”.
